Just received this in a facebook message, and I thought it was so nice. I love hearing and keeping in touch with past clients. It seems weird to form a relationship with a person for a given amount of time (a wedding), and then never to talk to them again. Facebook keeps me in the loop, and I am glad I get customers that love my work enough to keep up with what I am doing, and how I am evolving.
“Derek – I cannot believe that it has been almost a year since you shot Linds and Conors wedding. I have been looking at your work and I swear, it keeps getting better and better. We loved having you as our photographer and to see how you have evolved in your field has been a joy to watch. When my son gets married…no plans yet!ha…we will defiantly look you up!!! Keep up the good work” – Deb Koontz

I have been BUSY to say the least. I need a weekend to get over my weekend. It was busy, but very awesome. I spent Friday at a wonderful wedding. Glenn and Melissa got married at Mary’s Cottage at Falls Park. It was GREAT weather outside for a wedding, and everything went wonderful. I then had a shoot with a past wedding client for some promotional/family shots that she is using for advertising. Sunday was booked up with an engagement shoot and a family shoot. As always, if you need me for anything get in touch as early as possible! Hope to hear from you soon!
I’ve had a VERY busy past couple of weeks! In between editing wedding pictures and shoots here and there I managed to get out to Furman to take some pictures for a friend before he went to prom (See a few below). Please take note that if you want to use me for your photography services PLEASE get in contact with me as soon as you can. I am booked up all next month! SHOULD BE FUN!
I had a wonderful weekend. I was busy with a bridal session, engagement shoot, and a portrait session. I’ll be doing great if I can find time to edit all of these pictures! If you have a wedding, event, or just need some new family shots done, please get in contact with me.
I hope my upcoming weekend is as fun as my last one. Last weekend I had a great shoot with a little baby by the name of Owen Hart (pictured below) and an amazing wedding with Karyn and Shane on Saturday. It was so nice outside. This upcoming weekend I have 3 shoots planned. Friday is Melissa’s bridal in Furman, Saturday is little Addison’s pictures at Falls Park, and to close out the weekend I am doing an engagement shoot with 2 of my upcoming wedding clients in Falls Park. Hope the weather stays nice! Check back here to see some of the pictures I take from this upcoming weekend, and if you need a photographer for any event, wedding, or portrait please get in contact with me!
I had such a wonderful time on Saturday with Karyn and Shane. It was so beautiful outside, and the weather was PERFECT. I spent most of the day with the bride’s side, and I love this picture I took of Karyn’s daughter. She was so respectful, and well mannered. I love taking pictures of people’s special day!
I love this picture from this past weekend’s wedding with Vanessa and Myles. It captures Vanessa’s pure excitement as she is leaving the hotel on her way to the ceremony that is being held to bring two lovers together as one. This is the pure essence of why I do what I do with my photography. Most photographers will only come to a wedding ceremony for a few hours, and they are done. I’ve been known to spend 11-13 hours a day with a bride, so I can make sure their FULL day is documented. I start out with hair/makeup, and don’t leave until the happily married couple leaves the reception. If you have a wedding, and you want to use a photographer that don’t mind spending time with you, and getting ALL the shots you want on your big day PLEASE get in contact with me. It’s not only a job for me, but it’s my hobby!
I had such a wonderful time this past Saturday. Vanessa made such a stunning bride (I have attached some pictures to the bottom of this blog). It was great to be a part of a day this couple will remember for the rest of their lives. I also had the opportunity to meet Candy, the event coordinator for Mary’s at Falls Park, and she was so great to work with. The venue Mary’s at Falls Park is a great little place to have a wedding, and I am looking forward to many more there!
