About Us

Hello,

My name is Derek, and since an early age I formed a love for photography, and it has lasted till the present day. I started taking pictures at a very early age, but it was just a hobby at the time. As I matured, and got older, my eye adjusted to more of an artistic photo journalistic approach to photography, and my friends and family said I should do something with my talent. One of my friends asked me to photograph her wedding, because it was an inexpensive approach for her, and I realized that I wanted to continue this hobby as a job.

I went to school at ITT Tech, and this is where I picked up a great deal of the training I have in the technical programs that I used today in my photography. Over the years I have spent my time crafting my skill, reading, and learning about photography. I love all kinds of photography, but I personally specialize in weddings, nature, food, and portraits.

EchoShots was created as an affordable solution for people. People that I know that have needed photographers assistance have paid outrageous prices. My goal, and EchoShots mission, is to become the most affordable, along with the best quality in the upstate of South Carolina. Most photographers will come to your location to take a limited amount of pictures, and you will have to choose from the limited supply of pictures what will be printed. EchoShots way of business is vastly different. EchoShots will come to your special day, or event, and we will “shoot” an UNLIMITED amount of photos. We will then do all the necessary touch ups that need to be done, and then I will sit down with you to decide which photos you would like to get printed. I will do all the work, so you can just relax.
